The SGV Foundation supported the launch and implementation of EY Ripples, an EY global corporate responsibility program that provides EY professionals with opportunities to use their knowledge, skills and experience to positively impact millions of lives. It aims to support impact entrepreneurs by working with them to accelerate their growth in business and support the next generation by helping develop their mindsets and skills to find and sustain meaningful work.
In cooperation with Junior Achievement of the Philippines (JAPI), SGV conducted a series of training workshops for SGV volunteers before conducting teaching programs in different schools in Metro Manila. Volunteers taught 6th grade students about the basics of entrepreneurship and financial management as well as mentored high
school students online with financial advice for the JA Business Skills Pass program, where students create and register their own companies.
The EY Ripples team also conducted business clinics for impact entrepreneurs, co-organized with Endeavor Philippines. SGV volunteer partners and managers equipped impact entrepreneurs from the fintech, production and services, and business process outsourcing industries with practical knowledge in tax, assurance and financial planning through group mentoring.
